On the road again…

I’m leaving for Serbia today. I’m not sure how much access I’ll have to the internet or whether I’ll be able to update my blog or not. I’ll try.
I humbly ask, however, that you mention the priest Milovan and (my son) Vasilije in your prayers for our safe travels.
I am praying for you, Father…. I am waiting for your wonderful story from Serbia

St Vasilije of Ostrog? I have a vial of oil from his vigil lamp given to me many years ago by a Serb I knew. I hope you both get to be there for the feast.
Christopher -Thanks. The photo above is of St. Vasilije’s Monastery in Montenegro which was the initial reason of our trip. My wife thought it would be nice for my son, named after St Vasilije (of Ostrog), whom we commemorate next Tuesday, to be there for the feast but there are literally thousands of people that attend. We’ll see what we can arrange. If nothing else there is a church nearby us dedicated to St Vasilije that we could go to on the feast.
And pray for we Orthodox in America as you visit the holy places of Serbia. May St. Christopher guide you and your son’s travel.
